I agree. This whole SmartBridge situation period is weird. I had to wait over 6 weeks to get my first SmartBridge. It worked for 10 minutes and then died. I had to jump up and down for help, and finally had to tell the distributor to "get his hands out of his pockets" and get me a replacement. To his credit, he did get me a next day replacement, but also said the delay was due to the fact that he hadn't realized I wanted a replacement. I was screaming at him "I NEED A WORKING RADIO NOW!" and somehow he figured I wanted the DOA sent away for repair? Like I said, no huge deal since he did eventually wake up and got me a new radio. He even cross shipped it which was excellent.
However, I can't get any speed out of it and a week later, I'm still fighting to get some response or help from them. To be told I have to find my own power supply, and cut ends off them is totally ridiculous. Particularly when no one will say that a lack of power is the problem. That only is a guess. I would have thought that they (SB) would have been jumping all over themselves to solve this issue with my first SmartBridge order. Instead, they say I can try ordering some power supply from the US and then cut the end off when it get's here. No I find from you that the plug won't work anyway even if I did order that. Totally unprofessional and worse yet, they're making me look the same way to my new customer. And I specifically wanted to use a SmartBridge rather than any ''consumer level'' product. The customer paid a premium price and I did a 60' tower climb, and we choose SB so that we wouldn't have these problem, so that we wouldn't have to climb again, and so that we would have professional support. So far, that's not the case. I know I may be a little harsh here, but this has been, and continues to be, far from a smooth installation! - Todd ----- Original Message ----- From: "Joe Email" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, May 29, 2003 12:35 PM Subject: RE: [smartBridges] 18V DC Power Supply > This smartBridge power supply situation is getting to be the most stupid > situation I have ever been in since I have been in business for 20 years > > Day before yesterday sB said companies were using the Mouser 552-PSA-31U-180 > I order 5 of these, get them in today and I have to cut the ends off my 12v > transformer that came with the sB to make them work or send them back.
