Ivan, (this e-mail is direct and not on @part15.org)

Back in April, you replied on this subject saying that SB was not
answering
on the special information packets (signal strength and e.t.s..). Could
you explain further to Bill and I on what should transpire.

Thanks,

Tim Kerns

Bill,

Here is a reply from the archives from IVAN KORSHUN back when I first

Firmware SB does not answer
on the special information packets (signal strength and e.t.s.):

NO!!!
And it sure creates a problem when you can not see the device from the
AP or test from the AP. I use SimpleNMS to insure the devices are there,
but it is only giving the receive side of the bridge. When I do a site
survey, I use an Orinoco card to test. Since the AB's have more xmit
power, I assume (there goes that word) the AP receive signal is equal or
better than my test. So far no problems and I have deployed about 15
AB's. The price is right and I hate running LMR400. A footnote: I
usually manually set the IP of the bridge in SimpleNMS, other wise
SimpleNMS may not find it, and I do this before deploying at the
customers site.

Tim,

Did you resolve this problem? How?

Thanks!
