We just received a couple of AirBridges and was it
a surprise to see the there is no longer a power connection. These latest ones
can only be fed over cat5. It would be nice to be to have the choice, depending
on the install.
Also the new units still don't pass PPPoE or
DHCP addressing to the client computer correctly.
The AirPoint models in client bridge mode seem to
bridge correctly. And they do both direct power and POE.
I guess we can just buy all airPoints and forget
about the airBridges. It's just I hate paying for an Access Point to get a
working client device.
