I did the reboot, update firmware, etc. to no avail.. Still deaf
In a last ditch effort.... I did what you said. Slammed it on the table and now it works. It hears all the AP's, associates etc. Working perfect!!!
Maybe SmartBridge should put this procedure in their FAQ.

Never seen that.
Make sure you try resetting it (let the light cycle at least 4 times) a
couple of times.� I've seen that fix a few strange problems with them.
