I've seen this exact thing happen on a couple of occasions.  You can ping the 
SB.  You can ping machines behind the SB.  I was even able to successfully 
telnet to a mail server that was behind the SB.  However, accessing the web 
simply didn't work.  DNS was fine, since you could ping using the FQDN.  I 
never tried playing with MTU settings, but in both cases, I resolved it by 
power cycling the SB.  Once I did that, everything worked fine.
