Same problem here. Ihave 4 bad AP's on my desk to send back + one I already sent. These were consecutive bad units that have failed for different reasons: On the first one the antenna fell, on the second... well it could not be found, the third - it allowe us ti accidentally upload aitbridge firmware and allow us acces after that, but we could not put the right firmware back. The 4th one. Well it worked fine for like 20 minutes than the Ethernet port died. I feel so bad going back to my costumer since these all replace the same AP. The guy tells me: "see you tommorrow" everytime I leave... It's embarassing...
I wish SB would do something about this manufacturer...

Problem is the excessively high failure rate of the ABs....we ordered two and one had the guts rolling around like a brick inside the case and the other died as soon as we flashed it to the older code to allow PPPoE.  The first few we bought were great...this last batch from the new factory not so great.

We've elected to switch to all APs and hope the quality stays consistant on them.

You got a bad radio and you default to "stop making them if you don't want to" umm I believe they would if that was the case J I have a lot of ABO's in play in fact a few I was going to rma like I said, don't discount them all because u have a bad experience, this forum can be really bad because of this after a whiole you get so used to seeing bad things (Cause it's a SUPPORT forum) that you think there all falling apart. ;) One thing I think the RMA's should do is tell us whether the original unit had a problem or not. As a note the reason I bitch about the airpoints etc is because even the circuit boards on the indoors and outdoors are the same, except the outdoors get a nice outdoor case and a different pig. It's the same with airbridge so I don't see if the airbridge can have same firmware as airbridge outdoor why in gods name are they making the airpoints different.

Well, I had posted an email that stated that I hadn't had any problems - until I ordered a ABO last week.  It came in and I installed it and it has never worked.  I guess I know what I'm doing; I have been installing Smartbridges products for about 7 months without any issues.  I decided to flash down to 1.43 and then I was going to flash back up to 1.50 and the ethernet port is down and won't come back up.  I can reset it and it blinks on and then drops off.  I can reset it to default settings with the POE and same thing.  I guess it is dead.  I am sending it back to EC and ordering a APPO.  I can't understand why the ABO's are crap all of a sudden and the APPO's are still working.  If Smartbridges wants to stop making the ABO, just stop - don't start making a crappy product.
