I've found just the opposite to be true. In a recent shipment, (sample MAC: 00301A 049525) the newer units are loosing their ability to see the AP's in the hottest parts of the day or until powered off for a cool down period. An older shipment (sample MAC: 00301A 00F34B) does not give me any of the same problems.
Appendix A of the user Guide clearly states Operating Temperature Here is the link for reference. http://www.smartbridges.com/tech_support/userguide/airBridge_151/Index.html However, the documentation that comes with the units say (?c) 0 ~ +60 What temperature are they rated for currently? What temperature are the new units going to be rated for? --Mike -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Seeni Sent: Monday, June 23, 2003 5:11 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [smartBridges] Airbridge Indoor Change in Temperature rating Yes, we have done better improvement in the component level to reduce the thermal heat on the airbridge indoor unit. If you happen to see that the indoor unit which produces higher temp, please let us know. Some time around March, they were raised to 150*F and I got excited. I see they're now at 55*C :( http://www.smartbridges.com/pdf/datasheet_ab.pdf This does change our installation practices. 105* is easy to hit here in Texas. I *thought* I read an email from sB saying that they used the same components internally so the indoor client can withstand higher temperatures. Apparently this is not the case anymore??? sB... any comment??
