Why would you say that?  Clearly there have been changes to the product.
I've attached a scan of the circuit boards with a white circle around
some
of the obvious chip/vendor changes. The older unit on the bottom can
tolerate more heat than to newer unit on the top.

We have not made any changes to the Indoor and Outdoor devices. Only
changes are happening in the documentation as we correct
inconsistencies. Hope this helps to settle the ongoing heated
discussion.
