Wow, thats strange.  Have you tried frag level first?  We actually have 
our Frag level down to like 750 (like 752), and it did help our issues 
allot.  Its almost like you are dealing with packets that are corrupted 
in transmission.  Reducing the packet size will reduce this chance (in 
theory...)  but ....
