I REALLY like the idea of making the Polyphaser
antenna protector and ethernet surge arresstor internal to the outdoor unit--and
make the case steel or aluminum with a 1/4-20 ground lug as well. The only
other mod I would suggest is a system such as used by Trango to put the RJ45
connection INSIDE THE BOX. Then, I can run shielded cat5 up, split the
ground out and attach to the lug and continue inside with the RJ45 connection
behind a strain relief gland.
