I REALLY like the idea of making the Polyphaser antenna protector and ethernet surge arresstor internal to the outdoor unit--and make the case steel or aluminum with a 1/4-20 ground lug as well.  The only other mod I would suggest is a system such as used by Trango to put the RJ45 connection INSIDE THE BOX.  Then, I can run shielded cat5 up, split the ground out and attach to the lug and continue inside with the RJ45 connection behind a strain relief gland.   John H. ----- Original Message ----- From: beckman To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, July 01, 2003 6:54 PM Subject: [smartBridges] suggestions for the next PCB revision poly phaser is now making a surface mount LPD unit for 2.4ghz, called the W2.4 with sub 25$ pricing in quantity. From the docs I have, their is supposed to be surge protection in the powershot, and I have to say their isn't a lick of surge protection in the powershot (except maby if you hit it with a massive power surge it will burn up!)
