How do I check the spectrum? Ussualy with a spectrum analyzer but there are alot of pcmcia cards with utilities that will allow you to "scan" the air. (Teletronics, Symbol, etc) > I see from the AP (the client bridge always give me higher numbers) that > RSSI is 95% (-14 dBm) and link quality goes between 75% and 95%. > The antennas (D-pads) are aligned to each other quite roughly. > The link worked so I though I will leave them as is. If it used to work in the past and gives you trouble now then it is either interference or insulation issue. I assume you changed different channels and possibly antenna polarization ? >> A simple test is to swap just the units and try to >> upload/download again. That will help trouble shooting. > > This is not very easy as the AP is on a 4m high pole and needs a lot of > work to take it down. > I can do whatever I want on the client bridge cause it is much more > easier accesible. Not physically. Simply set the AP Client in AP mode and vice versa on the AP via the AP manager utility.
