Title: RE: [smartBridges] Indoor APP in Repeater Mode

Personally im about to try my first repeater mode ap but I don't see why as long as its in the RF sweep of the radio (as long as all 3 points are in it) I believe that it should connect. I would use a 20db Hyperlink antenna kinda expensive but high dbi gain the 22dbi grid will definitely reach it so theres no reason it shouldn't work but remember repeater mode = speed so its only 2.5 up 2.5 down legitimately at that point (I think that's how much atleast right guys since its half duplex?)

Was the last half of your reply here an answer to a question that I asked earlier today

I am thinking about a link about 6 miles and using a 22dBi grid, wanted to know how the APPO in the repeater mode worked

I Don't know if a 14 or 15 dBi 90degree or 120 degree sector will pick up the signal well enough and then be able to transmit to

2 other houses

Have you ever tried this?

Thanks again

Umm I don't like the router in the middle for one reason can inhibit free roaming from sid to sid at different repeaters we had problems with this in the past. As a note for what he wanted he would have to use a backhaul and an AP

Repeater mode is an extension only for last mile (for use with omni's or for cross coverage (90deg sec pointing towards another 90 sect)

How about something in the middle, like a switch?  Can do allot with a
switch that you mention.
