After the unit would be operational for a little while, it would quit working.
Packet loss to the unit would increase, and no other units would be able to connect to the AP. The packetloss was caused by the unit continuesly resetting... about every 10-15 seconds the APP would just... reset.. You could tell this by going into sinmpleMonitor, looking at the counters. Open a window up and start continuesly pinging the unit. When the 'pings' would stop returning, wait a few seconds and you'll see the counters start back at 0, or much lower than what they were. Counters don't go backward.. :D Speed really wasn't a problem. The unit was always pretty fast... usualy 1-3 meg/sec when told to associate at 5.5 Meg. RSSI/LQ would be -10~-15/70-90% on the airBridge side, and -20~-25/60-85% on the AP side... solid.. But, you could still ping the unit, go in and reset it all day long.. but nothing would associate to it until you power cycled the unit. I've been doing a normal 'ping' to the unit continuesly since about 4:30 CDT, and it's still passing traffic to an airBridge I have setup on the other side of it... Don't know about the packet loss, but I'm thinking it's going to be in the 1%~3% range like normal. Well.. I went ahead and restarted it so I could see the summary... 5411 packets transmitted, 5212 received, 3% packet loss, time 5463136ms rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 5.039/8.001/1063.916/18.479 ms, pipe 2 It's about what I expected.. but it's still passing traffic... -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Ray Sent: Wednesday, July 23, 2003 18:20 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [smartBridges] APP's and 0.01.08 FW What were your symptoms on this unit?
