Kevin,

This sounds similar to what we're doing at diDi Wireless Communities, Inc.  As an FYI, we're using Axis 2100 cameras (www.axis.com) and allowing customers to view simultaneously via web browser.  We didn't choose the pan/tilt versions due to how annoying that could get.

You could check out what we do at www.didiwireless.com .  We've also custom written software that runs on Linux for extra stability that does what Axis' $6K digital recording software does for ~half the price.

If anyone is interested, drop me a note at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Kind regards,
Sevak

Does anyone on the list know enough C++ in a Win32 environment

I recently bought a Veo Observer camera for less than $200.
It connects directly to Ethernet (they have a Wireless version
too) and has a little web server in it that allows one user
at a time to log in and control the camera.

I got the developer's kit from their website (attached) and
would like to find someone that could write something that will
run on my Windows server that I can call with VBScript or
_javascript_ or whatever and retrieve images from the camera so
more than one person can view it at a time. After that I want
to add functions to the page that will allow control of the
camera by one person at a time for up to one minute, then pass
control to the next person in line.

Crazy I know, but it sounded like a cool idea to me..

I want to stick the camera up on our tower sites and make it
available for viewing. :-)

There's a free one of these cameras in it for the person that
is willing to do it.

You can view, and access the camera at http://65.104.32.154.
