Not only do you get packet loss from the original transmission, but then you
also have increased congestion from the re-transmissions that are occurring.

Collisions are translated into "packet loss" if I am not mistaken I think on
both the CPE radio and AP.
Lowering the RTS CTS threshold will help minimize that issue. Usually the
ability to change these settings you will find on higher end radios. This is
not found as a feature on the linksys stuff for example which is NOT
designed
for heavy use in a WISP environment.
