I guess this list is becoming a little too big and rumors are more interesting to discuss :-)

 

Here is thee clarification on our RMA policy.

1)    smartBridges may replace the defective device from a pool of factory refurbished units. These refurb units are certified to be working as new units.

2)    Our distribution partners try to provide immediate replacement from the available stock. In the past due to product shortage this was a bit difficult. We believe now the issue has been solved by easier availability.

3)    For DOA units, our distribution partners send out new units.

 

You may be surprised to learn that even though we reserve the right to use the refurbished units, we have NEVER done that. In the history of our company, we have always managed to find better ways to dispose of returned equipment. Hence we did not have a need to send back refurbished units to our distribution partners. So 100% of all our shipments have been new equipment.

 

The recent products with “peeled” label corners are NEW units that were re-worked in the factory to address the thermal issue. These are not used equipment.
