Where is the rest? I want to hear about it. The install from hell must have followed you home and broke your email :-)

RE: [smartBridges] Cracked Cover on airBridge Outdoor..OKay, as promised, detailed description for the install from hell. - This is pretty long so... sit back and enjoy Me and my tech go out to do this install on Monday around 3:00pm. We've got pretty much everything we need, and no biggie if we don't we're only a mile and 1/2 away from home base. We set the ladder up, climb up this 8/12 pitch roof and deploy our site survey rig.. Little 15dbi pac wireless grid and a older outdoor airbridge (the ones with the 50' pigtail) on a 3' tripod. Hook it all up and we get 50-60% RSSI and 85-95% link quality.. Not bad for not having a complete line of site and mile 1/2 out and not even really adjusting it too much. We install the nice Ronard eave mount bracket and put our mast in place.., While my tech is doing that I assemble a 19dbi pac wireless grid and then start trying to terminate the end of our outdoor rated cat5 cable with the icky-poo gel which took over 40 minutes because the dang thick cable and the wires wouldn't go all the way in. After that we proceed to water proof the connection for the antenna. We get it up and start trying to get signal and nothing. We fiddle Thanks, Billy ----- Original Message ----- From: Chris Chance To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Sent: Wednesday, August 27, 2003 10:46 PM Subject: RE: [smartBridges] Cracked Cover on airBridge Outdoor.. Well, while dealing with a install from h*ll today, Me and one of my techs managed to bust the corner off of the cover on one of our airBridge Outdoor units.. I was wondering if it would be possible to obtain a replacement cover so we can put this unit back into service again.. Would be rather drastic to have to RMA the unit or ship it off for replacement/repair for something this simple.. P.S. I'll give way more details on this install that was from h*ll later on tommorrow after I get some sleep.
