The IP address display in the client info tab, sometimes not accurate and it does not reflect to the correct clients IP which is seems to be appeared in random wise. But for majority the IP address seems to be mismatched, since the airPoint extracts the IP from the packet, which may have the address of the PC behind it. Though for as few people it seems to be right, the majority make such a sound that it was decided to remove them in both simpleNMS as well as the simpleMonitor

Here is the .jpg for this morning 8/28/03 at 7:50 AM.

First, notice the ip addresses are ALL OK. Not random. It shows the CORRECT information.

The first ip at 192.168.0.161 is the vonage VOIP device which is a DHCP device. It's getting the ip from my DHCP server.

Number 2 is a D-Link DWL-900AP + on 192.168.0.4

number 3 is a SB APPO on ip 192.168.0.42

numbet 4 is a D-Link DWL-900 on ip 192.168.0.45

There are only 4 associated stations. All the info is CORRECT including RSSI and LQ.

This is simpleNMS version 0.94 a BETA version.

I know some of the guys have had issues with the ip being reported wrong but WHY is this version of simpleNMS WORKING for me ?

Now come on.... WHEN is the new release going to be released and is it gonna show the info thats USEFUL like in the BETA version ?

I am an SB SUPPORTER not a flammer. Most of the time for most of the SB equipment it works.

We have removed the IP address display in the current version, because it shows randomly and does not show the correct IP address of the client devices.

We are working on this issue and it will be addressed in our next release version.

           Thank you
