imho a
(probably not "the") disassociation issue is definitely still around! I
have a constant trickle of units that lose association. Generally I can
get the customer to power cycle the unit to bring it back up. However,
whenever I am there after one has gone down I do the
following:
1) go
to site survey
2)
click on "Select from available access points" - none appear in the
window
3)
click on "Refresh" - still none appear in the window
4)
click a second time on "Refresh" - a list of available access points now
appears
Once
the list of available access points appears, the unit re-associates without ANY
further prompting - ie I never actually need to click on the "Associate"
button. This seems to be a consistent way of bringing the units back on
line and to me really does show that the firmware is "locking up"
somehow.

-----Original Message-----A customer of mine is using an indoor airBridge on XP less than half a block away from the basestation. The radio is situated on the window sill (inside) and signal strength and link quality are good. Problem is that every now and then he cannot get onto the Internet. Blue light is blinking. Each time I go there, I power everything down, make sure the connectors are solid and reboot everthing. After a few minutes -WHAM!- back online.

Subject: [smartBridges] ghosts of fw past??
Since we have upgraded the firmware on all our APPOs and ABs, could it still be possible that the old disassociation issue is around?? If not, then what else can this be?
