Dimitrios & Nish, You are both correct in a way. Most WIPSers are not RF experts and should avoid amps since a "well designed system" is much harder to do using amps. On the other hand, a lot of "trial and error" can go a long way in making someone an expert ;-) The effects of reflection and multipath become more extreme when you use amps and that is the part that requires the most "magic". I would recommend against amps unless you know what you are doing or have the guidance of a radio engineer but there are a VERY FEW situations when you should use an amp.
