I had the same thing happen to me in a way. I have since learned to be
fairly specific aboutmy goals without giving details on how it is done :-)

And I am not even being an ass myself, when I found out they were coming
into town we called and tried to talk to them about cooperating, but they
basically said "sc**w you".  I think it is partly a revenge thing - one of
the investors in this company is a city official that I blew the whistle on
for using his city position to further his own financial gain, so he is out
for blood.  I am seriously considering a lawsuit against the city official
who took my business plan that I showed him as a representative of the city
and went off and found this other company from out of town to come in.  If I
could prove that he used my business plan to help another company then I
think I would have a case.
