RW> I am debating using a mixture of APPO when I need it and Airpoint or Airpoint RW> Pro indoor.
Just a FYI sB have discontinued the AirPoint Pro Indoor units. I don't know if they still will be doing the AirPoint. If memory serves me right the Airpoint's don't offer the client bridge mode (but then I only played with one of those units onces and that was many moons ago). RW> I am affraid though that they will not interact if I were to do client bridge, RW> repeater or any other combinations. The airPoint Pro indoor and the outdoor interacted just fine in any setup you put on them (client bridge, repeater or any other possible combination). But you no longer have that as option since they discontinued the aPPI. RW> Oh for you GPS guys! Its all good as long as we have a method of finding HOME. RW> I myself use a laptop and an airbridge indoor USB. Yes at 200 + Feet RW> sometimes! I just purchased a GPS to tell me where the hell I am when I am out RW> on a site survey to be able to alteast know the general directions when I need RW> to check a signal. I use all directionals at the client site. I use a USB GPS to my laptop and get the bearing to my tower then I use my trusty old compass to get the correct heading (direction to aim the CPE) then I use a standard CPE unit and aim and most my CPE units have a serial configuration port so I use my Ipaq with a serial cable and a terminal program to read the signal quality. - Eje -- [This E-mail scanned for viruses by Declude Virus] ----------ANNOUNCEMENT---------- Don't forget to register for WISPCON IV http://www.wispcon.info/us/wispcon-iv/wispcon-iv.htm The PART-15.ORG smartBridges Discussion List To Join: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (in the body type subscribe smartBridges <yournickname> To Remove: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] (in the body type unsubscribe smartBridges) Archives: http://archives.part-15.org
