I'm looking at deploying the new XO2 at a new site.. A couple of problems
I'm coming up with though.. I have three other sites running Orinoco gear
that are working fine. I need a 21 mile backhaul for this new site. Using
24db antennas and 24db of power, this would work fine. With only 17.5db
into a 24db antenna, it's only going to link at 1MB :( Why is it there's
not a system that puts out the legal max EIRP? I do have a site about 8
miles away that I can feed off of, but would prefer to go back to the main
system, less points of failure that way. I'm in rural Kansas, so a full
36db on the omni would be nice also. I know I can go higher gain on the
antenna, but I'm not happy with the broadcast pattern then (to narrow to
support closer users). How are others addressing these issues? I really
like what I see with the product and the support, but I have to overcome
these problems :(

reasonable on paper, and won't cause too much trouble. ... Well I don't
have any MCSEs on my books at the moment, but I could call around."
