I am using a 12dbi omni at the head end. What do you suggest. I thought about a 500Mw amp>>>4way splitter>>>4 90degree directional for 360 coverage. What do you think?

The tiniest azimuth and/or elevation change will have a big effect. You should be booming in using that grid (85% or better). Hope you are not using an Omni at the head end, they suck for longer distances. You need RSSI up past 75%....also watch the link for ten minutes on the link quality graph and check for it dropping off. Also, those grids can be assembled incorrectly if you're not careful, so you may want to double check that. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rudolph Worrell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, September 27, 2003 3:34 PM Subject: [smartBridges] RSSI > Hello everyone, > > What is the minimum RSSI and Link Quality needed to associate with an AP. > > I have a client 10mi away with an RSSI of 47% to 50% and I cannot get them > to associate on a consistent basis.
