I am all about diversification...more power to everyone. I am not
attacking, just didn't know if you were aware of the capabilities that
already exist in FREEEE MRTG.

I actually didn't know that PRTG had a GUI interface though.

Hope you get it worked out.

Why was I not surprised to receive a response of the such. It is not a mater
of wanting to reinvent the wheel, this is like the ongoing debate of Ford or
Chevy, Windows or Mac, Coke or Pepsi. We all have different likes and
dislikes, I simply use PRTG because of the simplicity of it. For someone who
is new to this simplicity is better. I have used MRTG before and TRIED to
use it with SB products. I had no success at all getting it to work with the
SB products (yes I read the instructions). I thought I would go and try the
GUI of PRTG and see if it would work for me. I also have a few other people
that I would need to access this and they are not the most computer savvy
people so I am trying to keep things simple. I have exhausted myself looking
at the SB website and the MRTG info there. It has been of no help to find
the OID's. The MRTG is not well documented on how to get up and running with
ease. If your not familiar with SNMP or MRTG it can be cumbersome to get to
work. I send my praise to all who have been involved with getting MRTG
working with SB radios keep up the good work, unfourntently the sad fact
remains that not everyone is at the same level or has the same taste. I feel
it is only fair that one gets to ask questions freely with out being
attacked because I prefer to drive a Ford instead of a Chevy.

Thanks,
Steve Good

Why are you trying to reinvent the wheel?!?!? Many of us have worked long
and hard to get MRTG working (for monitoring many things). Why do you want
to use PRTG?

Before you ask.look at the smartbridges website and find the MRTG info
there.

I found the MIB file. I am new at this part of things so I am not completely
sure what I am looking for. I did find in the MIB the OID's I am asuming
below is one I found.
1.3.6.1.4.1.410.1.1.7.1
But when I enter it in the program it gives me "test failed" This program
has a free version it would be great if someome tried to install (see below
for link) it and see if they get the same results. I am new to SNMP and
monitoring of these so i was looking or a GUI program to make things easier.
The program connects to the device and returns

I have looked thru the MIB but I do not see where it lists each OID that the
radio's use. Am I missing something. What this program requests is:

oid
Unit
Max

Type:
      Gauge
      Delta

Thanks,
Steve
