The simplespeed helps to set to optimum TCP/IP value in the wireless connection, which is suitable for the windows based OS only. Upload and download speed depends on what protocol being used. Normally FTP will take full bandwidth than any other protocol. The speed you are getting is actually depends on the total throughput and number of users in the network. If you have bandwidth allocation problem, XO series will resolve your issues.

Hi Dennis,
In order to achieve better upstream and downstream link, the minimum acceptable level of RSSI is about 60 -65 %, however ideally the minimum for a good stable link should be around 75%. With the help of our latest simplMonitor, you can define your own RSSI value. These values are calculated from the Base band values (0-40) and the maximum is 40. The values are converted 0-100 scale with formula (-10dbm) and displayed as % values. The link quality is displayed only as % but is the same conversion applies to RSSI also. The percentage value should be able to provide an indication how good the Received signal is. (E.g. BB value 40 => 100 %; BB value 20 => 50% )
