Of course your ALWAYSSSS wrong sully hahahaha ----- Original Message ----- From: "The Wirefree Network" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, October 16, 2003 2:10 PM Subject: RE: RE: [smartBridges] Fragmentation
The point is just that....Let the client handle it. There is NO need to further fragment the wireless packets unless for some reason it improves your LQ. Don't forget that if you step down the frag threshold below 1500, then something has to buffer those packets as they are being chopped up. I don't see any reason to lower the threshold below 1496 (which effectively is doing nothing). Of course...someone will try to prove me wrong. Before I go making any changes I would sure like to hear what they have to say. There has to be some kind of reasoning behind it. -----Original Message----- From: Stuart Pierce [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, October 16, 2003 2:20 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: RE: [smartBridges] Fragmentation You will have to set it on the AP and the client devices. ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: Derek Breiland <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Reply-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Thu, 16 Oct 2003 12:57:32 -0600 >Is this a negotiated setting meaning if you change the AP it will be negotiated with the CPE and will operate this way without changing the CPE setting? > >Does anyone have anymore details as to what the benefits are of doing >this?
