Best way I have found is to just take a long drive. Look for one next to a
house. If it has the coax flapping in the breeze or is just naked go knock
on the door and tell them you would like to buy their tower after you look
it over and do a quick climb. If it is sound and not junk offer them $100
for it and see what they say. I have not gotten any 100'ers but I have a
friend who snagged a 140' for $100 just this way.... You still get to take
it down, do any repair, get a new base.... all the good stuff, but in the
long run it is worth the time if you have the help to get all the hard stuff
done. I am working on buying the 140' from the lucky friend of mine. He
wants $600 for the 120' I can use at my location....

I guess you could look for new but what fun would that be!
