I would try to put the radio and antenna somewhere else and run POE to the
location (if moving it within 300 ft would help) 30rssi is way to low. Try a
bigger antenna maybe.

Subject: [smartBridges] Quick Help

I am going out to a customers location today and going to go up on a man
lift to about 40+ feet high to test signal. Last week I got on their roof
and was able to get signal at 30 RSSI and 70+ link Quality. I was able to
transfer between 100k-380k on speed tests. They have a citrix program that
requites (so they say) no less then a 512k connection. They are willing to
put up a tower because they rather pay 79.99 vs. 1400+ a month (dedicated
line) This location is right next less then 100 yards from a power plant
and they do not have a line of sight to the tower but are about 3 miles and
just shooting thru the top of some trees. For some reason 500k is about the
best I get off the tower so the speed is not my concern here, what is my
concern is that they are also shooting thru 2 power transmit lines that are
500KV, will these lines cause problems with the wireless signal? Would it be
not recommended to leave them at 30 rssi and 70 LQ if they can maintain a
constant signal and never loose connection. I know the RSSI is way way low
but the connection seems to work fine. any suggestions. anything I might do
to help improve it?

Thanks,
Steve Good
