I have been testing the XO for some while now in production. It has preformed great in all my tests. The management and AP functions are completely separate hardware. I don't really know what I can say about it, so I'll play it safe and not say much for now. I expect them to preform well.

These should easily kick the crap out of the APPO. Having the BW limiting at the AP had me scared that the radio would get slow and nasty, but with the extra chips sB has put on the radio and board I think we are all going to be happy. When the XO2 was not being hammered at WISPCON it did work very smooth. Hard to tell what they had it configured for, but I am sure I will be able to do very good things with it. As soon as I get mine I am going to test it head to head with an APPO for a while and then take it up the tower. Having the extra features of the XO2 have me pumped, but with the work being done by sB on the future products we should all be happy. While a lot of things were talked about at WISPCON by Glenn West, VP of Product Development, he kept his cards under the table. He does understand what we need and what we are looking for. I am betting that in the first quarter of 2004 we will see some things on the market based on what he heard at WISPCON. For those of you who could not make it, please do your best to get to WISPCON V. Mr. West was very personable and great to talk to. He left me with the impression that he could not wait to get back to Singapore to start working on some of the tweaks, changes and new options he had come up with by talking to those of us who were there. Andrews Owner, DNS Online ----- Original Message ----- From: "Blazen Wireless" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> MessageI have the same problems I cant seem to get more out of them I don't know what's wrong I have tired all the RTS settings all the firmwares everything that SB has to offer and still cant get it to work. FYI how many users do you have on each one? this sounds exactly the same setup I am running I have 30 on each radio with all kinds of latency problems when multiple users are on. Pings go thru the roof and throughput really goes to hell. They claim the new XO series is more robust we shall see. ----- Original Message ----- From: Shane Mitchell Subject: [smartBridges] Throughput Issues I recently installed 4 AirPoint Pro AP's that replaced 2 Orinoco AP-2000. I have 4 90 degree sector antennae on top of a water tower. I was getting throughput to the clients at a peak of 2.5 Mpbs with the Orinoco's. I am only getting a peak of about 1.6 Mpbs with the AP Pro's on each of the sectors. I am using Linksys Wet11's and had no problems with them. I changed to the APPro's due to the Orinoco's resetting themselves when overloading which was causing my clients to lose their associations. I have made changes to RTS/CTS with little changes to performance. The number of clients associated to each AP ranges from 10 to 40, but there seems to be no difference in throughput, so it is not just the 40 client AP that is underperforming. All of the AP's go into a switch which then goes to my Packetshaper, and on to my router.
