What I did not admit was we actually have this site
installed. It has a 12Db omni on the tallest building above the roof. This is
excellent for picking up our central access point 1 mile away but less good when
connecting to the Laptop PCMCIA card in the building with the Antenna. Rotating
the antenna to horizintal looks like a good plan when we get the ADSL backhaul
intsalled.
I don't think a directional could penitrate through
the middle building into the far end building. The way we have it the end
buildings are well enough served. It's really just the Laptop thats a bit
dodgy.

You can place it on top of the building at one end.
Usually, the suppression of the side lobes for the equipment (cheaper
antennas) for WLAN isn't that good. In this case, you can use it to your
advantage and service customers below the antenna.
Stick it at the far
end of the lowest building pointed at the other buildings. You
probably won't be able to use CPE other than the SB airBridge, though.
The airBridge has the best power and range for this
application.
