This is a mere matter of configuration I would say. It ought to be able to
shut down for sure, however, owing to my specific circumstances I didn't
test that yet. Please pardon my ignorance! Anyway this behaviour should
have remained as configurable as it used to be...

Does this version of apcupsd bring down SmartOS gracefully before the
battery goes flat or does it just monitor the battery?
