Thanks, that helps confirm a little bit. An alternate work around may be to either disable that entirely or change it to AHCI. Are you booting from USB? If so, I'd like to put together an anonymous DTrace script that you could use when you boot so that the next time it panics, we can get some additional information. It's not entirely clear right now what's causing us to end up here. I think that should help us get that information.
