Hi Everyone I am probably approaching this the wrong way, but would anyone have some advise for inserting an nsswitch module into a particular zone? I’ve managed to compile Samba 4 and join it to an Active Directory domain and have wbinfo working. According to the man page for nsswitch.conf, it will only look for the nss_SERVICE.so.1 files inside /usr/lib, which in the context of SmartOS is read-only.
Any hints appreciated. In context (and for anyone with experience with SmartOS/Samba), essentially all I’m trying to do is get the valid users that have UID/GID’s setup in AD (we have UNIX services enabled) to come across as locals for the primary purpose of file permissions. Would prefer to avoid idmap, but I’ve done it before and can again if its the best route. Thanks, Dave ------------------------------------------- smartos-discuss Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/184463/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/184463/25769125-55cfbc00 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=25769125&id_secret=25769125-7688e9fb Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
