I'm not sure id this is a KVM or a Windows issue, but when I allocate 32
cores (on a 32 physical core box) to a windows KVM, the machine load
average is around 12% while Windows task manager shows 1%. With 16
cores, the LA is 3-4%. I can't help but wonder what impact this has on
the VM's performance when it is fully loaded as well as its impact on
the other client systems.
A Linux KVM using the same package configuration sits around 0% when idle.
Has anyone else seen this or know of an explanation?
