Ok. I get what you mean. As of now, the GSM chip is connected to the
Wolfson CODEC, which has instructions to just route the audio directly
to the speakers.

We should definitely use JACK here. No application should really use
ALSA directly. With JACK, routing the channels to arbitrary modules is
easy.
