I see that this workaround is included into install.sh already. However, I'm afraid this is not the whole story: $ md5sum install.sh adc4550c4bf912533ea2b3e53c47fbec install.sh stages "testing time partition format mount" finish successfully. stage debian fails immediately with the error below: r...@om-gta02:~# HOSTNAME=neo \ > SD_SWAP_SIZE=512 \ > INST_MIRROR=http://192.168.10.1:9999/debian \ > LOCALEPURGE=true \ > FSO_MIRROR=http://pkg-fso.alioth.debian.org/debian \ > RDATEHOST=192.168.10.1 \ > VERBOSE=1 \ > ZHONE=true \ > TASKS="GPS,NET,TEXT" \ > time ./install.sh debian 2>&1 | tee zz2.log Running stage debian Install a basic Debian system * Downloading bootstrapper package 'debootstrap_1.0.15_all.deb' Connecting to 192.168.10.1:9999 (192.168.10.1:9999) debootstrapOrCdeboot 100% |*******************************************************************************| 54116 --:--:-- ETA * Running 'debootstrap' to install the system (might take a while) DEBOOTSTRAP_VARIANT='minbase' DEBOOTSTRAP_EXTRA_FLAGS=' --verbose' DEBOOTSTRAP_EXTRA_PACKAGES='install-info' E: No pkgdetails available; either install perl, or build pkgdetails.c from source Command exited with non-zero status 1 real 0m 6.48s user 0m 2.56s sys 0m 2.32s installing perl? FWIW: I'm using Angstrom openmoko -20090427 from flash with this kernel: Linux om-gta02 2.6.29-rc2 #1 PREEMPT Thu May 21 17:06:24 CEST 2009 armv4tl unknown I have not installed anything else onto the OM2009.04 side, since I don't use that.
