Check if your /etc/frameworkd.conf file is empty. The current Debian
install.sh has a bug that makes it empty (for which I've sent in a
patch), and the symptom is no GSM.
If it is empty, you can recreate it by doing
apt-get purge fso-config-gta02
apt-get install fso-config-gta02
