There is a fault with a number of MacBook pro batteries. Open system profiler.
then Hardware / Power and look at the battery information. If it is poor then contact Apple. They probably will replace it as they replaced mine. Mine died in 10 minutes from full charge, it was more than 13 months old and they still replaced it.
