Hi Sam

Already set. Must confess I don't really understand permissions. I assumed that once a folder had read/write permissions for everyone that any subfolders subsequently created would also have the same permissions as a default but that is never the case. I always have to go and set them for new folders I create.

Anyway, a bit more googling suggests it might be a virtualbox shared folder issue which is very annoying. Not sure I'm skilled enough in geekspeak to progress it in the forum!

Thanks

Pat

Hi Pat

Sorry missed the VirtualBox bit! That might be the cause of the file issue, have you tried setting the permissions of the shared folder on the mac to read/write for everyone?
