Hi, miles away in deepest Mayfield my father, the jinx on all things made by Apple has done it again. Being stuck at work I can't get over to confirm exactly what he is doing but here's what I can glean;
He has a Pages file containing text and images for a book he is writing and wants to revert to an earlier version, so went to his Time Machine backup to retrieve an earlier file. When he located the file dated back in August within his Time Machine volume he hit the Restore button and when prompted chose to keep both old and new files. He then appears to be presented with a file that when clicked takes him to an "unbundling archive" window and then the file icon comes up. Inside are separate files of all the TIFF and JPEG images - but no file of the text or a 'Pages' icon to open the original complete file. There is however an index.xml file - quite how he has got xml I have no idea! Does this scenario ring any bells?
