But is the reverse true? Can you put the micro-sim from an iPhone 4 into an
iPad?
(Which is I think what the original poster was after.)
I don't see why this wouldn't work....

Hi,
We were travelling last year and in each country we got a new sim for the
iPhone and iPad. I'm nearly 100% certain that you cannot interchange them. I
did ask once at the phone shop in France and they said no and I'm pretty sure
we tried with no joy - when the iphone was out of credit. Think Sam is correct
in saying that the iPad one is data only.
All the best,
Michael

In that case then no you can't, the iPad microsim is probably data only. I
doubt the iPhone's data plan would be compatible with the iPad.
Plus your iPhone would be off while you use the iPad.
Could always try it though!

according to

you can't interchange them:
Are iPhone 4 and iPad micro-SIM cards interchangeable?
No. Your iPad micro-SIM card will not work with your iPhone.
But I'd trust Sam if he says so...;)

Are the sim cards interchangeable? I have an iPhone with the 3 network
unlimited Internet access - BUT - I do find the screen small for my aged eyes.
If I buy an iPad can I use the sim card from my iPhone to access the Internet
from an iPad?
