One of the many ramifications of installing Lion is that my elderly (power pc) copy of Microsoft Office no longer functions. Since retiring from my serious day job, I now only get a few Excel and Word documents emailed to me to read, so could I get away with buying Apple "Work" instead of saving up for the Office suite? (i.e. will it open Excel spreadsheets etc.?) I would have liked to have Powerpoint too, but might get Keynote if it opens Powerpoint files..
