If you want to share a calendar with your friend then you'll need to create a 
new Google calendar on your own Google account, then subscribe to that in iCal 
and send your friend a link so that he can access it too. You would need to 
move existing local calendar events to the new Google calendar though in order 
for your friend to see them.
