My wife wanted to replace her existing Panasonic camera. First thought was the Panasonic Lumix TZ20. Then we tried the Sony HX9v. Ended up with a Nikon S9100 (now updated as the 9300). Definitely try before buying to find one that you really feel comfortable using. Specs aren't the only thing.
