Sam, so i can goto the app store and reinstall direct from there ? i'm downloading it now, however I'm concerned that i may have just bought it again, surely if i paid for it once for this machine it should be free this time > ? adrian

If you installed Lion from the App Store, you can reinstall it from there. If you used the USB key then you can boot from that and reinstall.
