It's a good idea to set your security settings back to WPA2 Personal (aka WPA2
PSK) as there's no reason why your iPad would have an issue joining a secured
wifi network, and you don't want to leave your network open to your neighbours.

It's just the "genius" trying to get you out the door and move onto the next
customer.

Try settings > general > reset > reset network settings on the iPad then rejoin
your wifi network. If that doesn't work try rebooting the iPad and router. If
that doesn't work then try your iPad on another wifi network and try another
iPad on yours, it's possible that any new wifi hardware in the iPad has a built
in incompatibility with the wifi chipset in your router, which there's not much
you can do to solve aside from a route firmware upgrade (if there is one
available)

Hope that helps

Regards

Sam
