Hello Diane, I've never used the comments in either Number or Pages so I'm not certain, but I'm fairly sure I've read a lot of serious moaning about exactly what you've noticed in both updated apps. They used to appear in a list at the side I believe and now they only appear in floating windows or something like that. If that's the case it may be back to the previous version for you. It's this sort of thing that has produced about 32,000 thread views on Pages in the Apple discussion forums and a score of 2 stars in the App store for Numbers (38 5 star and 205 1 star ratings!) - https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/numbers/id409203825?mt=12
Note that this is not a Mavericks issue, this is Pages 5 and Numbers 3 issue. The previous iWork is unlikely ever to be updated for Mavericks. Apple have stated that they will be updating things ( http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6049?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US ) but it's a shame they released such knobbled 'updates' in the first place. :( Stephen On 20 Nov 2013, at 12:23, Diana <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi, > > I am getting used to Numbers in Maverick but am finding the changes in > Comments difficult to come to terms with. > In the previous version of Numbers I kept my comments open at the side of the > sheet, in Maverick it seems I cannot do this. > Is there a way?
