Thanks for all the helpful answers/suggestions. I have on the iMac a 9.6 version of iPhotos which is still intact. Looked on the Apple support website and they don’t even list 9.6 let alone 9.6.1! Have found this on Macrumours.which is reasurring. But the question is how to get iPhoto moving again on my MBA. Maybe I have to unleash Photos and then iPhoto will come alive again and work alongside? Nick
