Some highly technically aware people are very hostile to the concept of 
Powerline Networks. The interference generated by the Powerline network can 
be very intrusive for shortwave radio and FM reception. Apart from that 
turn the electricity network into a transmitter.

What do you mean "lessen the strain" do you have many users that are active 
concurrently? or that you need to reach very distant users hidden by thick 
walls.

Have you considered installing another lan network on a different channel 
with a different name.
